Refined, responsive, and balanced, our Special Edition Mullen Loose Ring Pelham offers a fresh take on a jumping curb. Made from solid German silver, this bit provides a warm taste and gentle oxidation that can encourage salivation and acceptance.

The mouthpiece features a subtle, low port that offers mild tongue relief without creating palate pressure. This design allows the redistribute pressure slightly away from top of bars and helps horses with fleshy tongues or shallow palates that dislike ported bits and tongue squeezing action of typical snaffles stay comfortable and focused. Unlike jointed bits, this Pelham maintains stability in the mouth, promoting a quiet connection while still allowing the horse to swallow and move its tongue naturally.

Loose rings add softness and mobility to the action and help reduce the abruptness sometimes associated with fixed-cheek Pelhams. The curb action remains available through the lower shanks, but rein pressure comes with more pre-signal thanks to the mobile ring system.
