Gag Bits

Gag Bits are a type of bit with leverage that accentuates the upward, lifting action of the snaffle against the corners of the mouth. Typically used in show jumping and eventing cross-country phase these bits give rider more control in higher speed and adrenaline settings.

We recommend these bits for intermediate to advanced level riders with skilled hands as the leverage of these bits accentuates the rein pressure and applies it on the poll and corners of the mouth.

Despite the skill level required from the rider these bits are a great solution for horses that might go great in a simple snaffle but tend to get strong and excitable during certain parts of their training or competition.
