The SmoothRide tongue relief mouthpiece is crafted from polished stainless steel to provide a smooth, versatile option for horses that resist traditional flat-linked double jointed snaffles or find roller-only link jointed bits too harsh. 

The shape, material, and features are all designed to promote comfort and versatility:

  • The curved mouthpiece and lozenge with integrated copper roller follows the horse's natural mouth anatomy, providing mild tongue relief
  • The roller glides while minimizing pressure points and maintaining clear communication
  • The sanded finish ensures exceptional smoothness for enhanced comfort
  • The design can be used in forward or reverse position to experiment with pressure distribution between tongue center and bars
  • The slim profile with 15mm thickness balances the considerations for a larger surface area while still being narrow enough for many horses
  • The smooth transitions between surfaces eliminate the resistance often seen with traditional flat-linked designs.
