Bought this for my new horse with an extremely small mouth and low palate. I immediately noticed a change in his acceptance of the bit. He no longer chomps and gapes and he happily accepts rein cues. Would recommend!
My 16 yr old Quater Horse is very happy wirh this bit. I researched lots of bits to give her best comfort. Thank you for designing this bit.
My OTTB loves this bit. He’s very responsive and it’s light in his mouth.
Love them! Purchased three more
This is what we love to hear! Nothing says it better than coming back for more, thank you for the continued trust in Agadors. We hope every bit finds a very happy horse!
Great service item was as discribed.
Thank you for the kind words! Great service and accurate listings are things we take real pride in, so this means a lot. We hope your horse loves the bit!
So I love SweetIron bits, and I've used them with my mare before. And she also likes a break in the middle instead of a single joint, so I tried this bit.
She went lovely in it for about 4 months? But I began noticing that the sweetcorn was actually coming off. Not just rusting but it was coming down to the steel. I contacted support only to be shut down about the issue, but I really expected to have this bit longer than a few months.
I stopped using once I realized the "blue" was flaking off, to the point that I could scrape bits off with my nail.
Rest of the bit is well made, sturdy, and moved nice and especially Love roller!
Hi Alyssa, thank you for your review. To clarify the body of the bit is made of sweet iron (high carbon steel) and only the cheekpieces are stainless. The wear pattern in the picture is completely normal and the grey parts of the bit will re-season with use. The initial blue coating happens when you treat the bit in high heat to cure it and over time will give way to a wear pattern in your picture. Any particles are safe for your horse to ingest but you can use fine sanding paper to remove any excess. Glad to hear your horse liked the bit and let us know if the bit doesn't behave as expected.
My 4yr old OTTB really liked this but and had a quiet mouth compared to his previous elevated copper roller bit. I've always liked sweet iron for young horses. Happy to see it appearing more in English bits.
This made our day! OTTBs can be so particular, so hearing that he settled into a quiet mouth straight away means everything. We share your love of sweet iron for young horses, it's been a bit of a mission of ours to see it get the recognition it deserves in English riding. Thank you for being part of that!
My horse accepted this bit immediately and had a calm demeanor. Previous bit being used also had a copper roller but an elevated one which caused him to chew at the bit more. So far I really like this bit for the sweet iron and seamless roller.
Thank you for this! Immediate acceptance and a calm demeanor, honestly the dream first ride with a new bit. The seamless roller really does encourage a quieter mouth, so it's lovely to hear it's making such a noticeable difference for your guy. We hope you both continue to love it!
Product looks as pictured.
Thank you for the review! We always aim to represent our products as accurately as possible, so it's great to know we're delivering on that. We hope your horse loves it, we'd love to hear how it goes!
My mare seems to like the sweet iron and copper Calm Blue barrel links. It’s thin, so conforms best to her particular confirmation. So far so good. Thank you for making them affordable. Happy to support a Canadian company.
Horse and human thrilled with this bit. Was using a Herm Sprenger KK Ultra Loose Ring - 12 mm and wanted something similar in a D. Agador's suggested this bit and they were right!! Very seamless transition to the new bit. My guy was happy, accepting and working well first time using. Looks great in it to boot!! All set for show season. Excellent quality. Agador's support and customer service outstanding.
This review genuinely made us smile, thank you! A happy, willing horse on the first ride is the best possible outcome, and the fact that he's looking great in it too is a bonus we love to hear! Wishing you and your guy a wonderful show season ahead, go get those ribbons!
I really like these compared to the fluffy sheepskin, top quality as usual from Agadors!
Top quality bit for an excellent price, as usual!
Thank you so much, and the 'as usual' means everything to us! Delivering quality you can trust at a price that makes sense is at the heart of what Agadors is about. We're so glad to have your continued support and hope to keep exceeding your expectations.
I’m so glad I nabbed this special edition bit, the first horse I tried it on absolutely loved it!
So happy to hear this! A horse that loves their bit is a happy horse, and that's always the goal. Thank you for grabbing the special edition and for taking the time to share this. We hope it continues to serve you both beautifully!
Top quality bit as usual!
Thank you so much for your kind words. Happy riding! :)
My horse has fairly small interdental space, and while he's always loved a bit of a similar shape from a very expensive brand, I've never been happy with the thickness (or the cost!). It's been a challenge to find a full setup that doesn't take up too much space.
I've loved every Agador's bit I've tried so far, so when I saw this one, I knew I had to give it a shot to replace the other brand. Not only is it a thinner mouthpiece, but the shaping is better for his mouth conformation, and he's been fantastic in this bit with multiple regular thickness bradoons. My horse is very sensitive, and I know quickly if a bit works! This one is a standout.
Agador's has great customer service, fast shipping, reasonable prices, and a CANADIAN small business!
Thank you so much for your review! We are thrilled to hear that our ComfortFlow Weymouth bit has been a great fit for your sensitive horse. We strive to provide high-quality and affordable options for all equestrians. We appreciate your support for our small Canadian business and are always here to assist with any further needs. Happy riding!
She likes this bit so much, I have 3 now, one for each of her bridles! It fits, she understands it, and it is soft, yet strong, and communicates well. I was able to show with it USEF/USDF with no issue.
Thank you for such a glowing review, and for your wonderful loyalty in purchasing three! It's great to hear she's so comfortable and communicating so well in it.
We're also delighted to hear it passed muster for USEF/USDF competition, that's really valuable to know for our competitive riders.
Wishing you and your mare continued success in the ring. Thank you for choosing Agadors!
My horse loves this bit she is nice and relaxed and collects really well in this mouthpiece
Worth every penny from Agadors they make nice quality bits at an affordable price
Thank you for this wonderful review! Relaxed and collecting beautifully, that's music to our ears!
It's so rewarding to hear that she's going so well in her new mouthpiece, and we're thrilled that Agadors has been worth every penny for you. Quality bits at an affordable price is exactly what we set out to achieve, so it means the world to hear that it's hitting the mark!
Thank you for your kind words and support, happy riding!
My mare had a vice of really chewing on her bits. So far this one has been minimal and sedentary enough to nearly completely stop that habit. I do recommend trying to visualize what 12.5 mm is as it was thicker than I thought but luckily that didn't affect anything and it's my error for not checking.
Thank you for such a thoughtful and helpful review! We're thrilled to hear the bit has made such a difference for your mare, nearly stopping the chewing habit entirely is a fantastic result.
We also really appreciate you flagging the sizing point about 12.5mm, that's a genuinely useful tip for other riders to keep in mind when ordering, and very kind of you to share it.
We hope your mare continues to go happily in her new bit. Thank you for the recommendation!
Doesn’t seem to matter how it is set up, the wheel twists putting uneven and uncomfortable pressure onto the horse.
Used twice to try alternative set ups and then gave away
