The shape, the material and the features of the CalmBlue tongue relief mouthpiece are all centered around creating acceptance, calmness and enhanced communication while minimising any unnecessary pressure.

The Calmblue mouthpiece shape encourages free movement of the tongue and redistributes pressure away from the center of the tongue that many bits with classic link designs create.

The cannons of the bit move independently to create a precision in communication between the rider and the horse. The movement of the cannons in this bit approximately correspond to a level 1-2 mouthpiece of similar bits from other brands.

The CalmBlue mouthpiece is made of sweet iron which releases a sweet taste as it gets in contact with saliva that many horses prefer.

While the regular CalmBlue mouthpiece has a copper roller on the barrel to enhance acceptance and communication this bit is an adapted version where the copper is set and not rolling to make the bit explicitly dressage legal.

This bit features a loose ring cheekpiece which enables the bit to move more in the horses mouth. This facilitates a subtler, more precise communication and is great for horses that are more advanced in their training or those preferring a less subtle signal from the bit.

Mouthpiece thickness: 10mm

Please note that sweet iron bits oxidise naturally and the blue parts will over time develop a thin layer of rust and turn brown/grey. This is by design as the "rust" is what creates the taste so many horses love.

Excellent customer service

The customer service of Agador's is above and beyond any I've ever experienced. They have been enormously helpful in finding me a bit to work for my guy.

Quality is not up to par, the blue rubbed almost completely off after one use. My horse did not like the bit.

Rubbing corners of lips.

I had high hopes for this bit and my horse does love this mouth piece. However, the holes where the rings go through are not rounded very well (they are a little sharp/rough) and the corners of my horse's mouth is being rubbed sore by them. The sizing of this bit has been approved by both my trainer and my horse's certified dental specialist DVM.

Magical Bit

This bit has been life changing for my horse and me! He seems quite comfortable in this bit. He is happy! Our contact/connection has become very light and consistent! No ducking behind. No barging through! He is so responsive! It is a dream come true for us! We have tried about 5 other bits before finding this magical piece of equipment!

Quality is not the best but the price is aligned with the quality.
