BarRelief Hunter D-Ring Snaffle

The BarRelief mouthpiece features uniquely angled cannons designed for horses with challenging oral conformations. Rather than applying direct pressure to sensitive bar tops, the innovative geometry creates a lifting action that redirects pressure to the sides of the bars. This anatomical design maintains clear communication while protecting sensitive tissues.

The central lozenge is precisely positioned to float at or slightly above the bars when the bit is properly fitted, effectively minimising direct downward pressure on the top of bars. When rein contact is taken, the independent movement of the cannons promotes a rolling action along the sides of the bars, tongue and lips rather than sharp pressure points.

The D Ring cheekpiece is a gentle yet versatile choice and is suitable for all training levels. It can be useful to think of a D Ring cheekpiece as a hybrid between the eggbutt and the full cheek offering both stability and enhanced lateral control by applying some pressure on the cheeks when steering.
