The CalmGreen mouthpiece is a combination of stainless steel barrel with a copper strip and our signature green rubber covered cannons.
The cannons of the bit move independently to create a precision in communication between the rider and the horse while minimising pressure on the tongue.
Just like CalmBlue and CalmRide mouthpieces the CalmGreen rotates 360 degrees around the barrel, however, the mouthpiece moves less inward making it more stable and exert even less tongue pressure.
The copper strip on the barrel enhances taste and sensation in the midlde of the tongue without adding extra movement or pressure points.
Eggbutt cheekpieces are often preferred by young horses or those who require more stability in mouth than the loose ring offers.
This bit is a good starting mouthpiece for horses with a limited space between tongue and palate, those with most sensitive tongues needing precision and those that requite a barrel link but have a preference toward rubber coated bits.
This bit is not suitable for horses with very sensitive bars.

Is this bit right for my horse?
Riders often choose this bit for:
- Horses that like the CalmBlue barrel-link tongue space but want a softer rubber feel on the cannons
Worth knowing:
- Rubber cannons: not chew proof, not even a little, and not returnable once used. If you are unsure, we usually suggest trying the CalmBlue first
The eggbutt keeps the bit still. A good match for busy-mouthed horses and those that prefer stability.
