CalmRide Elevator Bit

Sale price$79.90 CAD

Out of stock

The CalmRide mouthpiece is designed to provide comfort and tongue relief for horses with sensitive tongues or other oral issues.

This stainless steel bit features a curved mouthpiece with a barrel in the center. This design allows extra space for the horse's tongue, facilitates better gliding over the tongue as reins are engaged and preventing it from being pinched or pressed against the roof of the mouth.

The bit has medium flexibility in the barrel joint. The cannons of the bit move independently which allows for a clearer signal between the rider and the horse.

The copper rollers on the barrel encourage horse to chew, makes sliding the bit across the tongue more comfortable and promotes relaxation.

The elevator or Dutch gag is a loose ring cheekpiece that creates leverage and pressure on the poll. It’s a great option for horses more advanced in their training and/or requiring more control.

Can be used on a single or double rein with or without a connector.

Calmride Mouthpiece

The Calmride mouthpiece is designed to provide comfort and tongue relief for horses with sensitive tongues and small oral cavities. This bit features a curved mouthpiece with a medium flexibility barrel link in the center allowing for extra space for the horse's tongue and a lower palate while minimising any pinching classic double broken bits create. Two copper rollers facilitate better gliding over the tongue as reins are engaged and offer a more snap reaction, making it a great option for horses that can be at times sensitive, at times strong.

Elevator Cheekpiece

The Elevator Bit is a leverage bit designed to provide maximum control and lift, making it ideal for horses that tend to lean, pull, or become heavy in the contact at high speed situations. Featuring multiple rein attachment options, it allows riders to adjust the level of pressure applied to the poll and corners of the mouth. It can be used with or without a curb chain, offering additional customization based on the horse’s sensitivity and the rider’s needs. Commonly used in jumping and eventing, the elevator bit typically encourages a lighter forehand.

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel is a highly durable, non-rusting metal that remains smooth and neutral in taste. It is one of the most common materials for bits due to its strength and longevity. Unlike sweet iron or German silver, it does not encourage salivation, but it provides a reliable and maintenance-free option. To care for stainless steel bits, rinse with water and dry after each use, polish occasionally to maintain shine, and disinfect with mild solutions when necessary.
