Our Comfortwave mouthpiece bits are among the most popular and we often receive questions about how they compare with similar bits on the market.
So let's break it down piece by piece.
Lozenge:
Comfortwave has a smooth lozenge without an angle.
Curvature: While every mouthpiece is unique, we believe the closest design to what we have been trying to achieve with
Comfortwave is the NS Verbindend.
Cheekpieces: We believe we are carrying some of the widest selections of cheekpieces on the market. Baucher, gag, dutch gag or a simple loose ring - you name it and we probably have it or can make it for you.
Material:
Comfortwave is made of German Silver - a copper alloy that has smaller parts of Zinc and Nickel, which is warmer than steel bits and more durable than Salox (NS) or Aurigan (Sprenger) that have a higher copper content.
While many horses prefer the taste of German Silver we must warn that a small minority will be allergic to Nickel. As with any bit watch out for signs of discomfort and use our generous trial period to evaluate whether
Comfortwave mouthpiece is right for you and your horse.
Cost:
Comfortwave was created as a lower cost alternative to the big brand name bits that can easily break the bank.
